Rediff.com Shopping Refunding Orders Without Customer Request

I happen to purchase a product on Rediff Shopping which had a very good deal. 50% off on a product.

Post purchase, the usual confirmation mails on order approvals were sent out.. realising a small typo.. I wrote back to them asking if they could correct the typo.. But a few days later I got a mail cancelling the Order.

The Vendor info provided by rediff has no response, the Customer care of rediff gives me a standard template response but not a resolution of the problem.

This happened to me second time, first time was with the product Jesus Idol.

Unable to understand why would a shopping site reverse the order, when a customer has not requested it.

1. Bad Customer Service / Response flow

2. Either the vendor refuse to sell the product, which is not communicate to customer, again bad customer flow. They have even removed vendor ratings from the site, making it difficult for customers to judge vendors.

3. Deliberate effort, show as many products on the site, but not really sell them, hold the money and proactively refund them.

Whatever may be the reason but bad customer experience and feeling the site is not responsive. Above everything, the refund mail says if you would like to purchase the order, please contact the toll free number. Looks like a serious problem in customer handling by rediff.com
